THE SERIES
Babson and Norwich will meet for the 69th time on Saturday afternoon in a series that dates back to the 1975-1976 season. The Beavers are 24-38-6 all-time against the Cadets and took two out of three meetings last season.

LAST MEETING
Junior Rob Devaney finished with two goals and one assist and Jamie Murray '16 made 24 saves as the second-seeded Beavers defeated third-seeded Norwich, 5-0, in an NEHC Tournament semifinal on February 27, 2016, in Babson Park. Senior Michael Phillips and juniors Charlie Ackerman and Ryan Gouveia all scored once for the Beavers, who broke the game open with three third-period tallies.

LAST NORWICH WIN
Senior Dmitry Ermakov had two goals and Norwich scored three times on the power play to defeat Babson, 5-1, on February 5, 2016, in Northfield. Classmate Brian Rowland added a goal and an assist, while Austin Evans chipped in with three assists for the Cadets, who used a three-goal second-period to break the game open. Senior Dan Casey scored late in the first period for the Beavers.

SCOUTING THE CADETS
No. 10 USCHO.com/No. 13 D3hockey.com Norwich (8-1-1, 6-1-0 NEHC) ran its winning streak to four with a 6-2 victory over No. 8/10 UMass Boston on Friday night. Junior Kevin Salvucci and senior Paul Russell each scored twice and junior Alec Brandrup added two assists for the Cadets, who broke a scoreless deadlock with four second-period goals. Salvucci (7-3-10) has scored five times on the power play, senior Nick Pichette (6-4-10) owns a pair of game-winning goals and senior Anthony Flaherty (4-6-10) is tied for third on the team in assists. Senior Ty Reichenbach and junior Braeden Ostepchuk have combined to post a 1.57 goals against average and a .928 save percentage to go along with three shutouts over the team's first 10 games.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
No. 12 USCHO.com/No. 12 D3hockey.com Babson (7-3-1, 4-1-0 NEHC) has dropped two straight games after suffering a 4-2 loss at Saint Michael's on Friday night. Ackerman and sophomore Tommy Munichiello each had a goal for the Beavers, who were just 1-for-8 on the power play. Munichiello (6-6-12) leads the team in goals and has at least one point in eight of the last nine games, Phillips (3-9-12) leads the Green and White in assists and Devaney (4-7-11) is tied for the team lead with three power play goals. Sophomore goaltenders Bryan Botcher and Matt Pompa have combined to post a 2.44 goals against average and a .920 save percentage over the team's first 11 outings this season.

BACK ON THE ICE
Phillips, who missed the first game of his career after 94 consecutive appearances last Sunday at Amherst, returned to the lineup on Friday night and recorded an assist in the Beavers' loss at Saint Michael's.

PROVIDING A SPARK
Devaney finished with three goals and two assists for five points in Babson's two wins over Norwich on home ice last season, while Casey (2 goals, 1 assist) is riding a three-game points streak against the Cadets.

POWER PLAY PRODUCTION
The Green and White has gone 12-for-50 on the power play in its seven wins this season, but has scored just twice in 29 man-advantage chances in its four blemishes.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Beavers are 4-0-1 in five Saturday games this year.
