THE SERIES
Babson and Saint Michael's will meet for the 25th time on Friday night in a series that dates back to 1998. The Beavers are 21-2-1 all-time against the Purple Knights and are unbeaten in the last 18 games (17-0-1) between the two schools.

LAST MEETING
Senior Tim Searles scored twice and junior Matt McMorrow added a goal and an assist as Babson defeated Saint Michael's, 5-1, to sweep the season series on February 6, 2016, in South Burlington. Juniors Charlie Ackerman and Bobby Hall both contributed two assists for the Beavers, who led 3-0 after the first period.

LAST SAINT MICHAEL'S WIN
Tom Sullivan '06 tied the game with his first goal of the season at 18:36 of the third period, but Gavin Faretra scored with 35 seconds left in regulation to lift the Purple Knights to a 4-3 victory over the Beavers on January 17, 2004, in Babson Park.

SCOUTING THE PURPLE KNIGHTS
Saint Michael's (2-7-0, 1-5-0 NEHC) has been idle since suffering its fifth straight loss in a 5-1 setback to No. 13/11 Amherst on November 22. Senior Justin McKenzie scored at 18:32 of the first period and sophomore Nic Hermary and senior Caleb Lothian both recorded assists for the Purple Knights, who allowed four unanswered goals over the final two periods. Junior Eric Salzillo (5-3-8) has scored three times on the power play, Hermary (2-4-6) has one game-winning goal and sophomore Sam D'Antuono (2-4-6) is tied for second on the team in assists. Classmate Chris Johnson has started all nine games in between the pipes and owns a 4.40 goals against average to go along with a .890 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
No. 12 USCHO.com/No. 12 D3hockey.com Babson (7-2-1, 4-0-0 NEHC) had its seven-game winning streak snapped in a 4-1 loss at No. 13/11 Amherst on Sunday. Sophomore Matt Brazel scored early in the third period for the Beavers, which allowed three second-period goals and finished 0-for-8 on the power play. Junior Rob Devaney (4-7-11) leads the Green and White with three power play tallies, sophomore Tommy Munichiello (5-6-11) has produced at least one point in seven of the last eight games and senior Michael Phillips (3-8-11) leads the squad in assists. Sophomore goaltenders Bryan Botcher and Matt Pompa have combined to post a 2.28 goals against average and a .926 save percentage over Babson's first 12 games.

BLUE LINE PRODUCTION
Junior defensemen Matt Holtshouser, Jake Donahue, Paul Wagner and Joe DePietto have combined for seven assists in four games against Saint Michael's over the last two seasons.

VETERAN SCORING PUNCH
Phillips (3-7-10), Searles (5-2-7) and fellow senior Bill Seligman (4-4-8) have combined for 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points over the last three years against the Purple Knights.

HITTING THE ROAD IN THE NEHC
Babson, which enters its first league road trip of the season as the only team without a conference loss, went 6-2-1 on the road against NEHC foes during the 2015-16 regular season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Beavers' 16 third-period goals are most in any period by any NEHC team entering the weekend.
