THE SERIES

Babson and UMass Dartmouth will meet for the 19th time on Tuesday night in a series that dates back to the 1979-80 season. The Beavers hold a 9-6-3 edge all time and are unbeaten over their last four games against the Corsairs.

LAST MEETING
Sophomore Matt Brazel had a goal and an assist, and classmate Matt Pompa stopped 26 shots to record a shutout in his collegiate debut as Babson defeated UMass Dartmouth, 3-0, on November 24, 2015, in New Bedford. Senior Bill Seligman and sophomore Tommy Munichiello each scored once for the Beavers, who outshot the Corsairs 58-26.

LAST UMASS DARTMOUTH WIN
Stephen Ginand scored his second goal of the game 3:02 into overtime, sending the Corsiars past Babson, 2-1, on January 7, 2012 in New Bedford, Mass. Mike Hoban '12 scored at 8:58 of the third period for the Beavers, who held a 36-23 edge in shots.

SCOUTING THE CORSAIRS
UMass Dartmouth (3-3-0) had its two-game winning streak snapped in a 7-3 loss to Salem State on Saturday. Junior Casey Shea scored once and an assist for the Corsairs, who took a 3-1 lead eight minutes into the second period before allowing six unanswered goals to the Vikings. Shea (2-7-9) has four multi-point games, while senior Matt Baldino (5-3-8) and junior Mike Somes (6-1-7) have combined for eight power play goals. Classmate Jerry Laakso (1-7-8) is tied for the team lead in assists and junior goaltender Drew Micahels owns a 4.57 goals against average and a .897 save percentage in six starts this season.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS

Senior Tim Searles had a goal and an assist, and junior netminder Bryan Botcher stopped a career-high 27 saves for the Beavers, who took the lead for good at 15:21 of second period. Junior Rob Devaney (4-6-10) has scored three times on the power play, senior Michael Phillips (3-5-8) has five points over the last three games and Munichiello (4-3-7) has tallied three goals in the last two contests. Pompa and Botcher have combined to post a 1.98 goals against average and a .934 save percentage while starting four games apiece this season.

SENIOR SCORERS
Seligman has three career goals against UMass Dartmouth, which includes a two-goal game as part of an 8-1 Babson victory on November 25, 2014. Fellow senior Dan Casey finished with two goals and two assists in the aforementioned win and also tacked on a pair of assists in last year's win to push his career point total against the Corsairs to six.

ON A ROLL
After falling behind 2-0 to UMass Dartmouth on November 26, 2014, the Beavers have outscored the Corsairs 15-1, which includes an 11-1 margin over the last two meetings.

STAYING HOT
Devaney enters Tuesday's contest having produced at least one point in all seven games this season, while Munichiello and Phillips are riding five and three-game points streaks, respectively.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Beavers are 11-4-3 against non-conference opponents going back to the start of the 2014-15 campaign.
