Jeff Page enters his fourth season as head coach of the Babson golf program in 2016. A resident of nearby Needham and a 1980 graduate of Quinnipiac University, Page was promoted to head coach after spending the 2012-13 season as an assistant to former coach Mike Vassalotti.
After leading the Beavers to a second-place finish at the NECC Championship in 2013, Page was selected as the conference coach of the year as the Green and White captured its first league title in three years and an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship in 2014, where it finished 38th. Page, who repeated as the league's coach of the year in 2015, led Babson to its second straight NECC title last fall.
Page, who currently works at Salem Five Bank, has an extensive background in competitive golf. In his four seasons at Quinnipiac, he was the Connecticut Intercollegiate Individual Champion in 1980, he qualified for the NCAA Tournament in both 1979 and 1980, and he was selected as a Division II Honorable Mention All-American in his senior season.
After graduating, Page went on to qualify for the Mass Amateur more than 10 times, including two appearances in the match-play portion of the event (final 32). He was also a six-time qualifier at the Massachusetts Mid-Amateur, and in 1998 he qualified for the United States Mid-Amateur. Page is an 18-time Club Champion at the nearby Wellesley Country Club, with his most recent victory coming in 2014.
