THE SETUP

The Babson College men's golf team will continue its preparation for the upcoming NECC Championship at the one-day Westfield State Invitational on Tuesday. The Beavers will play 18 holes of stroke play at the par-71, 6,438-yard Tekoa Country Club.

LAST TIME AT WESTFIELD STATE
The Beavers return to Tekoa C.C. for the first time since finishing second at the Westfield State Invitational in 2014. Jay Ruvane '15 tied for sixth with a 5-over par 76 and Andrew Lepine '15 and sophomore Ian Notkin both shot 77 as the Beavers posted a team score of 309 to finish seven shots behind Rhode Island College.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
Babson enters its second one-day event of the fall coming off a fifth-place finish at the Williams Invitational over the weekend. First-year Chris Bornhorst carded back-to-back rounds of 76 to tie for 12th place at 10-over par 152 for the Green and White, which finished with a team score of 623. Classmate David Choi came in 15th at 11-over 153 on the heels of tying for medalist honors with an even-par 71 at the Roger Williams Invitational last Tuesday. Bornhorst leads the team with a 75.33 stroke average, Choi is second at 76.80 and Notkin is third at 78.00 after rounds of 79 and 81 at Williams.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Rhode Island College has won two straight Westfield State Invitational titles after posting a team score of 296 to win by 21 shots over the host Owls last year. The Beavers finished 22 shots ahead of the Anchormen over the weekend at Williams and edged RIC by two strokes to win the Roger Williams Invitational last Tuesday.

WHAT'S UP NEXT
The Beavers will look to capture their third consecutive NECC title beginning on Saturday at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston, Mass.
