Young, Tryhane Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars
After leading their team to the 2011 NECC Championship and the 2012 NCAA Division III Tournament, Babson College golfers Joe Young (Westwood, Mass.) and Wesley Tryhane (Stamford, Conn.) have both named Cleveland Golf/Srixon Division III All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for their efforts this past year.

Young Caps Off Stellar Career With PING Division III All-Northeast Honors
After earning New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Year honors, winning the NECC Championship, and helping the Babson College golf team to its first NCAA Tournament bid since 2002, senior captain Joe Young (Westwood, Mass.) capped off his brilliant career by being named to the 2012 PING Division III All-Northeast Region Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) last week at the NCAA Championships.

Golf Moves Up Two Spots To Finish 38th At NCAA Division III Championships
The Babson College golf team finished up the program's eight-ever appearance a the NCAA Championships with a strong second round on the El Campeon course at the Mission Inn Resort on Wednesday, as the Beavers carded a team score of 328 to move up two spots to 38th place in the field of 41 Division III teams. As one of the 26 schools to miss the cut after day two of the four-day competition, Babson finishes with a final team score of 666.

Ten Years Since Last Appearance, Golf Returns To NCAA Championships
The Babson College golf team opened up its eight appearance at the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament on the Las Colinas course at the Mission Inn Resort on Tuesday. The Beavers posted a team score of 338 to rank 40th overall after day one of the competition.

Babson Honors Class of 2012 at 31st Annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet
The Babson College Athletics Department held its 31st Annual Senior Awards Banquet on Friday night where a total of eight individuals received honors. Two women’s basketball seniors, Kathleen King (Framingham, Mass.) and Nicole Wurdeman (Rowley, Mass.) were named co-winners of the Female Athlete of the Class, while men’s soccer senior Max Walker (Newton, Mass.) was named the Male Athlete of the Class.

Young Leads Golf To Fourth-Place Finish at JWU Spring Invitational
The Babson College golf team finished in a five-way tie for fourth place at the sixth annual Johnson and Wales University Wildcat Spring Invitational at the Cranston Country Club over the weekend. The tournament was shortened to 27 holes due to poor weather conditions on Sunday afternoon.

The Babson College golf team finished in a tie for ninth place at the Western New England Invitational at Veterans Golf Course on Thursday. The Beavers' team score of 335 placed them in a tie with one of the host Golden Bears' two squads at the event - three strokes behind eight-place Westfield State.

Golf Finishes 11th at Hampton Inn Invitational
The Babson College golf team finished 11th at the two-day Hampton Inn Invitational at Allendale Country Club on Saturday. The Beavers finished with a combined team score of 679 - three strokes behind 10th-place Nichols and six behind ninth-place Springfield.

Golf Finishes 10th at RIC Invitational
The Babson College men's golf team opened the spring portion of its 2011-12 season with a 10th-place finish at the Rhode Island College Invitational at Trigg Memorial Golf Course on Friday. The event was originally scheduled as a 36-hole competition, but Saturday's final round was cancelled due to rain.

Golf Tied For 24th After Day One at NEIGA Championships
After day one of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships at the captain's Course on Monday, the Babson College golf team stood in a tie for 24th place out of 34 Division I, II, and III schools. The Beavers' opening-round score of 326 matched that of Suffolk University and was 25 strokes off the leading pace set by Bryant and Holy Cross.

Babson College senior captain Joe Young (Westwood, Mass.) outdueled junior teammate Wesley Tryhane (Stamford, Conn.) in a two-hole playoff to earn Golfer of the Year honors as the duo helped the Beavers claim the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Golf Championship at D.W. Field Golf Course on Sunday. With their second NECC title in three years, the Beavers also secure the league's first-ever automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Young, Tryhane Push Men’s Golf To First Round Lead At The 2011 NECC Golf Championship
BROCKTON, Mass.—The Babson College men’s golf team shot a season-low nine-over par 289 to take a nine-shot lead after the first day of the 2011 NECC Golf Championship at D.W. Field Golf Club in Brockton this afternoon. Elms College is nine shots back after shooting a 298, and Springfield College at 304, is 15 shots back. A total of 13 players carded sub-80 rounds on a picture-perfect fall afternoon on the 6,042 yard, par 70 course.
