David Lang enters his second season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Babson College after joining the program in April 2017.
Lang comes to Babson from Lexington High School, where he served as an assistant varsity boys basketball coach from 2009-13 and as an assistant for the junior varsity program in 2016-17. He also served as the director of the Lexington Youth Basketball Association from 2008-15.
A four-year member of the men’s basketball team at Harvard University from 1985-89, Lang played in 88 career games for the Crimson and averaged 3.8 points and 3.0 rebounds. He graduated cum laude with a B.A. in economics and later earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1995.
Lang worked at TA Associates in Boston for over two decades before becoming a managing partner at Hickory Lane Associates in Lexington in 2015. He also serves on the board of trustees at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington.
