WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College first-year Andrew Jaworski (Tolland, Conn.) was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Jaworski averaged 22.0 points and shot 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the floor and 60 percent (9-of-15) from beyond the arc to help the Beavers start 2-0 in league play. He scored 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including five three-pointers, in Wednesday's 83-60 win over Springfield, and followed it up by matching his career high with 25 points, 19 of them in the second half, on 8-of-14 shooting to go along with four rebounds and two assists in Saturday's 79-72 triumph at WPI.
Jaworski, who ranks third in the NEWMAC in three-point field goal percentage at 51.2 percent, has averaged 16.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 54.5 percent in seven games since joining the starting lineup prior to the December 2 win over Brandeis.
Babson (7-5, 2-0) returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Coast Guard at 7 p.m.
