Men's Basketball National Championship Ring Ceremony Precedes Season Opener

BABSON PARK, Mass.—The 2016-17 Babson College men's basketball team will receive their national championship rings during a ceremony leading up to Wednesday night's season opener against Lasell College. The ceremony begins at 6:45 p.m. and the game at 7:30 p.m.

Both the ring ceremony and game are free of charge. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and there will be a number of giveaways, including green glowsticks, foam fingers and limited edition national championship ring t-shirts.

In addition to the giveways and ceremony, there will be a special halftime performance featuring Boston Celtics mascot Lucky. Following the performance, Lucky will be available for a meet and greet with autographs and photos.

An alumni hospitality suite in the Chandor Dance Studio will include refreshments, Babson swag, a photo with the championship trophy and a Babson SuperFan t-shirt for those who preregistered.

The defending national champions are coming off an incredible 31-2 season that featured a program record for wins and Babson's first national title in 33 years.
