Men's Hoops to Join Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Weekend

BABSON PARK, Mass. - On Saturday, January 29^th, Babson Men's Basketball will be participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Weekend in their game against New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opponent The United States Coast Guard Academy.

Both coaching staffs will be sporting sneakers to show their support for the fight against cancer. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the American Cancer Society are joining together to encourage coaching staffs from across the country to participate in Suits and Sneakers Weekend for cancer awareness.

At least one-third of cancer deaths could be avoided with a healthy diet and regular exercise.  By wearing sneakers, the Babson College coaching staff will let people know about the fight against cancer and the importance that nutrition and physical activity plays in reducing people's risk of the disease.
