No. 6/6 Baseball Receives At-Large Bid, Will Face Keystone in NCAA Tournament Opener on Friday

BABSON PARK, Mass.—No. 6/6 Babson College will make its third straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearance after receiving one of 18 at-large bids when the 58-team field was announced on Monday afternoon. The Beavers will face Keystone College on Friday at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., at either 11 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.

Under the direction of 17th-year head coach Matt Noone, the Green and White enter the championship at 33-7 after falling to MIT in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament final last Wednesday. Babson, which set a new record with 30 regular season wins this spring, advanced to the NCAA Tournament regional final in both 2017 and 2018.

Keystone (25-14) is making its 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance after sweeping Cairn to win the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament over the weekend. The Giants, who have won 18 of their last 23 games, have reached the College World Series twice in the last eight years and most recently in 2016.

Trinity (27-7), which returns to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012 and 12th time in program history, received an at-large bid and will host Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament champions Salve Regina (27-16) in Friday's other contest. The Seahawks are back in the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years and fifth time in school history.

Official game times and ticket prices for the regional will be announced later on Monday, and a full regional preview will be published on Tuesday.
