BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College Athletics Communications Director Jeremy Viens is the recipient of the 2018 Fall Division III and D3SIDA Recognition Award. Division III and D3SIDA recognized Viens for his story titled Men's Basketball Alums Droney, Flannery Bring National Championship Pedigree to The Basketball Tournament.
The NCAA Division III and D3SIDA recognition award is a partnership between the Division III governance staff and the Division III College Sports Information Directors of America (D3SIDA) to recognize the best work by athletics communication directors portraying the Division III identity and student-athlete experience.
The recognition program is part of the Division III identity initiative. It seeks to honor the best work - including news releases, feature articles, videos, blogs and other materials - produced by Division III campus and conference athletics communication offices.
"Jeremy continues to impress and thrive in the athletics communications industry," said Babson Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications Scott Dietz. "This recognition is representative of his hard work, attention to detail, and most importantly always putting the student-athlete first. Jeremy is someone who regularly strives to position Babson Athletics among the best of the best."
As the award winner, Viens is eligible to receive a $1,500 credit to attend Division III Day, June 11, 2019, at the annual CoSIDA Convention in Orlando, Florida.
With the award, Viens is publicly recognized in the NCAA Division III monthly newsletter and on Division III's web page and social media channels.
