BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College Department of Athletics and Recreation in conjunction with video streaming provider Stretch Internet is now offering its home broadcasts via OTT (over-the-top) apps on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku devices.
The custom apps provide viewers a way to access content directly on their TVs. There is no longer the need to relay the stream from mobile devices, laptops or desktop computers. Users can access the content simply by downloading the free apps on any of the compatible devices.
"We've prided ourselves in providing a first-rate viewing experience for our audience and to now have our broadcasts on these platforms is another step in the right direction," said Babson Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications Scott Dietz. "Being in this space further expands our reach while giving people a number of ways to find Babson Athletics."
Fans will need to search 'Babson' to find the Babson Athletics channel and add it to their device. Using Stretch Internet's professionally-designed intuitive interface, viewers will easily see a schedule of live, upcoming and on-demand broadcasts.
For those who don't have any of the aforementioned apps or when Babson is on the road, people can continue to watch all of Babson's games through live video links on their mobile devices, laptops or desktop computers.
"Our student-athlete population comes from all over the country and world, so there are times when families and friends aren't able to get to campus," said Dietz. "One of our hopes is that by moving to these platforms will allow people to seamlessly access and watch our events."
