BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College Athletics Communications Director Jeremy Viens and Athletics Communications and Marketing Coordinator Temitope Bajulaiye are among the 2017-18 award winners for the annual College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest.

Viens and Bajulaiye were selected for their entries in the season preview/recap and story with video categories, respectively, in District 1, which covers the six New England states, New York and parts of Canada.

Viens' story titled National Champs that appeared in the spring 2017 edition of the Babson Magazine highlighted the Beavers' men's basketball program's first national championship and the school's first NCAA team title since 1984.

Bajulaiye's piece on men's basketball welcoming Luke Iorio to the program through Team IMPACT (Inspire, Motivate, Play Against Challenges Together) covered draft day in which the coaches and players officially welcomed Luke into the Babson family.

"Jeremy and Temi are two of the more talented and committed athletics communications professionals I have had the pleasure to work with during my two-decade tenure in this field," said Babson Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications Scott Dietz. "They both care deeply about Babson, work extremely hard, and are incredibly passionate on providing our student-athletes with a first-rate experience."

Submissions for the Stabley Writing Contest are open to current CoSIDA members only. Entries considered for this year's awards needed to be written/published between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017. When reviewing the entries, a panel of three judges follows the criteria of flow/organization, grammar/punctuation, interesting/original, focus/clarity of subject, and video/story correlation (video category only).
